Today is the 4th day im on mc. Suddenly i became so ill ever since the last time i fell sick. Worrying of my throat if it would recover. I was being diagnosed some pharynx infection by the Mount Alvernia Hospital doctor.


This all begans since monday. I was feeling not very well due to dry throat. And no matter how much water i drank, i still feel uncomfortable in my throat and my head. After work, i went to the Raffles clinic i always gone. But this time round, I was not being diagnosed by the doctor who has been treating me for years. I was then given some medication for URTI (Upper Respitatory Tract Infection). This family doctor cares for the patient. He asked me if i had panadols at home as he said that to get paracetamol from the clinic will be expensive. So i went home w/o panadols. Got home and took some rest.

However, when i got up the second day, my throat starts to hurt, difficulty in breathing and my fever never subside. Was home trying to push all the medication into my body. But to no avail. My parents then brought me to the Raffles clinic again after their work. This time, it was also another part-time doctor. He seems very unprofessional to me. When i asked questions on what i am suffering, he was unable to give me confident answers.

On the 3rd day, i woke up with servere pain in my throat, pain in the ear, chest pain and voice starting to change and fever had nv subside. Swallowing became too painful for me. I was home drinking more than 5 litres of water and nth seems to change. This time, my father insisted to sent me to the hospital. Im so that nervous when i was waiting for my turn. The nurse took my temperature and blood pressure. My mum requested to consult the doctor who took the fish bone from her throat last year. The doctor took very long to diagnose me. He carefully looked into my throat, listen to my heartbeat, looked into my ears and the medication i took from the clinic i went. He then said the doctors prescribe me with the wrong medication and thus the infection was not being controlled properly. The medication they gave were for normal sore throat which is the URTI. However, im having pharynx infection. If the infection is not cured, my fever, my nose and my cough will never recover. He said that for hospital cases of this infection, they would give antibiotics, injections and medications. He also said that if this infection spreads downwards, it will reach my lungs and chest. When this occurs, it will be even serious where i would have to take months to recover. The doctor wanted to give me 3 days of mc but it was already the last 2 days of the week.

4th day already and yet i still have the pain in my throat. Worried if i could recover fast as i do not wish to affect my attachment grades. ):
